Heart of the Nearest Star – “Futility”

/

Tennessee-based electro-acoustic duo Heart of the Nearest Star showcase their delightfully unpredictable sound on the track “Futility,” the third single from their upcoming album, Songs from the Silence. Serenely somber vocals move in with ghostly qualities, as buzzing synths ruminate with a nocturnal immersion. The multi-layered vocal haunts and witch house resemblances send chills, particularly within the “roses,” sequence that melds with clanking percussion. A darkly consuming success, “Futility” has us firmly anticipating the upcoming full-length.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
