Doron Karavani – “Only Love”

/

Helsinki-based artist Doron Karavani unveils a hopeful, melodic charm on new single “Only Love.” The release marks a collaboration between Karavani and Kalevi Lohivuori, who plays trumpet and keyboards on the track. Thematically, “Only Love” captures the power of interconnectivity that love can bring. The release was written and recorded on a cold winter day, in Lohivuori’s home studio.

Calming acoustics and sporadic keys open the track into the vocal presence, letting out “only love can keep us together close.” The warming ruminations on love and perseverance send chills, assuming a soaring composure into a string-laden adornment. Lohivuori’s blaring trumpet additions contributes wonderfully thereafter, as the instrumentation combines for a satiating send-off. “Only Love” is a powerful piece of songwriting with a gently unfolding folk-pop glistening, representing a thorough success from Karavani and Lohivuori.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Folk. Stream the playlist below:
