Cameron Sonnier – “Strange Lately”

/

A new single from Cameron Sonnier, “Strange Lately” is another memorable cut from the Houston-based artist, who caught our ears already this year with “Anytime” and “Burning To Death.”

Hazy acoustics, ghostly twangs, and a echoed percussive character drives into Sonnier’s compelling vocal presence. “The “seems so strange lately,” chorus exudes a soaring character, diversifying enjoyably from the debonair “see what you wanna see,” verses. The twangy guitar tones and steady percussion evolve seamlessly into the more starry-eyed demeanor of the enveloping title-referencing hook; “Strange Lately” is further exemplary of Sonnier’s quality songwriting and confident aesthetical direction.
