Skytinual – “Still Love You (At the End of Time)”

/

A funky, soulful pop charisma shows on “Still Love You (At the End of Time),” a smooth new single from Skytinual, the project of drummer-turned-artist Dave Bush. He describes the effort as an “indie pop polemic about love on a fraying planet in a divided America.” Warm brass and twinkling keys drive into a debonair vocal immersion, yearning for one to “come back home.” An added vocal reflection assumes to “rise above,” as the instrumentation continues to build, culminating in a blissful array of spirited brass, funky guitar riffs, and “I still love you,” vocal declarations. “Still Love You (At the End of Time)” is a smitten, hooky success from Skytinual.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
