Parlour Magic – “Summerlin”

/

NYC-based synth-pop act Parlour Magic enamor with the new single “Summerlin,” beholding an unraveling world within colorful synths and vibrant vocals. The verses project a sense of seeking change — “a journey man, a second town, your future plans are worthless now,” — and not quite coming to fruition.

An arpeggio-laden synth drive combines with new-wave guitar sensations within the enamoring chorus, inducing replays with its melodic immediacy and serene production, from noted producer Fab Dupont. German multi-instrumentalist Florian Stepper also contributes on bass, and features across Parlour Magic’s upcoming album, out this autumn.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
