Niles – “Echoes”

/

An earworm of a second single from San Francisco-based artist Niles, “Echoes” emanates with crisp guitar twangs, lushly caressing vocals, and steady rhythmic precision. Releasing ahead of an upcoming EP, the track excels in its steady escalation — weaving sporadic vocals and trickling guitar momentum into a cathartic blissfulness past the three-minute turn, where illuminated pulses add invitingly amidst twangy guitars. “Echoes” is a replay-inducing delight from Niles.

“This song I wrote about memories and how they can both be fleeting and core to who you are,” Niles explains. “They can grow fuzzy and distant over time but also can define your behaviors and shape who you are.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
