Austin-based artist Nervous Bride invokes a post-punk and funky dreaminess on new single “Anniversary,” capturing the passing of time with artful engrossment. “This is the last time, you’ll never know,” the debonair vocals let out, follow recollections of youthful pursuits. Some of our greatest moments are not apparent until they’re long gone, and “Anniversary” embodies those sentiments within a melodic arsenal of post-punk bass drives, clamoring guitar escalations, and moody vocals. “Anniversary” struts a strong melodic and thematic enticement throughout.
