Mannequin Flowers – “Heartbeat”

London-based act Mannequin Flowers unveil a dreamy rock appeal on new single “Heartbeat,” which they describe as “about not loving someone back.” Ardent guitar pushes past the mid-point transition with cohesive elegance into the strumming acoustics and space-like frequencies. The caressing vocals in the verses lead into an enjoyable anthemic spirit in the chorus, strutting a dynamic tonal charm that still retains a dreamy engrossment throughout.

Per the act: “It’s a modern twist on the heartbreak song. It captures the guilt and the questioning of unrequited love.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
