Kristberg – “From The Shore”

/

Capturing the “deep cool blue,” serenity of the ocean in audible form, “From The Shore” is a melodic pop delight from Kristberg. The Iceland-based artist excels with this chilled-out sound, declaring from the get-go “I wanna live on the bottom of the ocean,” — capturing a sense of searching for tranquility. The “take a second glance at the things I left behind,” furthers that escapism, complemented by bouncy guitars and flourishing synth conclusions. Island-set guitars shuffle around thereafter, driving into another blissful vocal hook.

“From The Shore” emits the sense of tranquility one acquires while sitting beneath the ocean waves, with all tumult and obstacles above surface — far away, at least for the time being. The track is an irresistible earworm from the talented Icelandic artist.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
