Hadnot Creek – “Father Time”

/

A beautiful folk track with references to procrastination and passing time, “Father Time” is out today from Hadnot Creek. The Charlottesville-based project is led by singer/songwriter Robert Sawrey, who wrote this song with Tyler Sargent, formerly of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. “All those days, standing still, now the past doesn’t seem so real,” inviting vocals let out. “You always thought you had time to kill.” Plucky acoustics, twangy guitars, and frolicking piano complement the meditative lyrics with stirring immersion. Sargent provides acoustic guitars, while Ben Laderberg adds the electric guitar lead. “Father Time” is a wholly resonating success from Hadnot Creek.
