computer science – “choking up” + “handshake”

/

Asheville-based project computer science unveil a textured rock appeal throughout the new album cleaver, showing multiple standouts — and especially the tracks “choking up” and “handshake.” Pianist Angie Brozowski fronts the project, and their magnetic piano playing is apparent on “choking up” amidst twangy guitar adornments. “I seek what I had,” the vocals stir as piano and guitars collide with seamless immersion, venturing with anthemic immersion throughout.

“handshake” is another success, channeling a more impassioned rock-centric approach in its shoegaze-y distortion. “You shook my broken hand, and I reciprocated,” the vocals let out amidst the whirring guitar momentum, breaking into dreamy piano pulses as the vocals assume a more introspective allure. “handshake” is another dynamic success, alternating between piano-forward headiness and ardent rock spectacle.
