ALVIRA – “Movement III – Liberty” (feat. Sam Parkinson)

/

Frome, UK-based solo artist ALVIRA compels with an artful pop charm on “Liberty,” the third movement of the Ariel Suite EP. The release takes inspiration from Shakespeare’s play The Tempest, and its character Ariel; the lyrics within the track are a combination of the artist’s original writing, and lyrics from the play, as well.

Glistening keys, lushly operatic backing vocals, and a melodic vocal lead combine with ample intrigue, particularly as a string-laden swell consumes past the two-minute mark and into a final bell-chiming refrain. The vocals of actor Sam Marc Parkinson also feature on the track.

ALVIRA’s music compels with an enjoyably theatrical and cinematic quality, deriving from talented artistry in addition to training at The Royal Ballet School, Tring Park and Drama Centre London. Citing “folk, sacred choral, film and pop music,” influences, ALVIRA’s production provides consistent intrigue with its atmospheric pop structure and literary-inspired narrative.
