The track kicks off the compilation release Kitty Kant Collective, Vol. 1, which features Kitty Kant’s “international music collective of artists and friends,” and their shared pursuits to explore the solarpunk aesthetic through a variety of genres, ranging from hyperpop to jazztronica and rock.
“On the Outside” sits comfortably in the synth-laden rock realm, balanced cohesively as vulnerable lyrics speak to honesty and truth. “On the outside looking in,” introspective vocals enamor during a hazily enjoyable sequence, excelling into a final minute with a spirited glow.
