Richard Lynch – “Rest Your Love on Me”

A cover of the Conway Twitty country classic (written by Barry Gibb), “Rest Your Love on Me” conveys a timeless-sounding appeal from Richard Lynch, an artist based in Waynesville, Ohio. Lynch comforting, baritone vocal tone carries alongside a melodic range of twangy guitars, stately piano, and heartrending strings. The track comes via Lynch’s upcoming album Pulling Up the Covers which releases on July 26th and serves as an ode to the music that helped inspire Lynch’s life and career.

“Rest Your Love on Me” enamors in its emotional sincerity and rising vocal momentum. “Maybe you don’t know me, any more than I know you,” the vocals admit, as prancing piano complement the bellowing emotion. Percussion enters gently as the reassuring title-touting hook takes hold, projecting a solemnly powerful lead with shades of Sturgill Simpson. “I hate to think there’s someone you loved instead of me,” the melancholic introspection continues, traversing into another gorgeous central chorus with twangy guitars and string-laden illumination. “Rest Your Love on Me” is a gripping rendition from Richard Lynch.
