Marisa Finley – “Hallelujah (Movin Through Ya)”

/

A gripping debut single from Canadian singer/songwriter Marisa Finley, “Hallelujah” moves with a lush and seamless envelopment. Glimmering choral-like character and elegant piano intertwine alongside Finley’s dreamily caressing vocal presence. Also collaborating on the track is Peter Mol, a longtime friend of Finley’s who is also a venerated musician and producer.

“Once I really knew ya, I could see right through ya,” Finley lets out during the magnetic chorus, exuding a sense of powerful confidence within the realization. The introspective verses and ensuing brightness prove compelling and climactic, set artfully alongside lyrics that portray a feeling of falling in love before truly knowing someone. We’re excited to see what’s next from Finley, following this fantastic debut.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
