NYC-based artist Jason Myles Goss impresses across both folk and rock spectrums on his recent Misfit EP, which caught our ears in January via the track/video for “Younger Man.” The EP’s title track is a particular standout, embracing the more emotive folk spectrum comparative to the rock-ready vigor of “Younger Man.” “Misfit” now releases alongside a lovely music video, filmed across the city of Chicago and directed by Kyle Dunleavy.

“I will carry you home,” Goss sings with sincerity during the track’s rise, as solemn acoustics and twinkling keys complement. The twangy ensuing guitars guide into the “won’t you help me find my way through the dark?” vulnerability — aptly conveyed within a video where late-night city walks are a common element, as is the sense of loneliness.
