Hauspoints – “Hear No, See No”

/

A newly released single from Hauspoints, “Hear No, See No” unveils a striking rock sound with a range of infectious guitars, brassy reflections, and bouncy synth-bass maneuvers. The various instruments take sporadic leads at points, within a consistently confident vocal lead with shades of LCD Soundsystem in their decisive, concise delivery. The standout track represents the first single from their debut album, Eel Feeling, out on September 21st via Crackedankles Records.

Rumbling bass and guitar/brass flashes venture into the sly vocal tonal direction, enamoring in both the infectious title-touting vocal refrain amidst bass-y reverberations and more flourishing rock sections, like the dazzling guitar solo approaching the three-minute turn. References to figures like Brian Eno, Tarantino, and beyond coexist within thematic observations on intellectual property and the complexities of ownership in that regard. The energy is palpable throughout the track, which thoroughly compels in its interacting instruments and relentless ardency.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
