Dana Roth – “Summer” (feat. Daniel Blonde)

/

A hazy rock dreaminess takes hold on “Summer,” a collaborative single from Dana Roth and Doctor B’s Daniel Blonde. A cut from Roth’s upcoming album Airship, “Summer” proves dynamic in its range of fluttering synth-laden effervescence and “trying to recollect,” percussive momentum — finding an enjoyable middle ground between dreamy pop immersion and pulsing psych-rock intrigue. “In my pocket,” the vocals continue with flourishes of synths alongside, arriving into a murky, nocturnal electronic-minded immersion that enters into the final minute. “Summer” is a melodic delight throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
