The Woven Project – “Winds (Foll Remix)”

//

Full of hypnotic intrigue, “Winds (Foll Remix)” is a riveting showcase from UK-based The Woven Project. The track comes via the Let Beautiful In: Rewoven EP, the byproduct of the band sharing stems from the original EP with friends. A diverse, compelling selection of songs results, with Foll’s interpretation of “Winds” providing a glitch-focused twist that twists the track’s soundscape on its head, enjoyably.

An assembly of wordless vocal chills, trickling electro-minded percussion, and string-laden layers work together with seamless immersion throughout Foll’s remix. The violin and acoustic guitar complement the lush entrancement of Jasmine Weatherill’s vocals, which give way at moments to the stirring strings and twinkling keys. Initially formed by Brian Batey and Brian Barnes, The Woven Project show an impressive sound on both the chilling original and this remix from Foll.
