Soul Civilian – “OK”

/

Prancing guitar jangles and a crisply melodic vocal lead stir on “OK,” a recent single from Soul Civilian. “Please close the door behind you, because I’m getting tired of hearing all the noise,” the vocals open, admitting insecurity and paranoia as infectious guitar lines jump about. Synth-laden infusions align with an acceptance of imperfection, and striving to become OK; the result is enjoyably melodic and crisply replay-inducing, marking a surefire success from Raul F. Garcia, a producer and composer who also has ample success in music-making within the advertising niche.

The track is described as “about moving on from a previous life. The bittersweet feeling of new possibilities mixed in with a bit of longing for the life you had to give away in order to achieve it. It’s the emotional state of limbo everyone feels during a transitional period of their life.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
