Pillow Talk – “Crystal Blood”

/

A starry-eyed pop lushness enamors on “Crystal Blood,” a new single from Pillow Talk. The project comes via New England-based composer, producer, and musician Nickolas Donlin. Flickering guitar twangs and lush synth aspects surround a contemplative vocal presence, admitting “it’s upside down to me,” prior to a soaring, dreamy central hook. An electro-folk, atmospheric engrossment takes hold, fondly reminiscent of Damien Jurado. “Crystal Blood” is a strong output from Pillow Talk, whose upcoming album — Nick At Night, out on August 16th — we’re wholly anticipating.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
