Lovers Guilt – “Til I Feel No Pain”

//

A stylish meeting of synth-pop intrigue and post-punk moodiness, “Til I Feel No Pain” is a newly released single from Lovers Guilt. The percussion retains its hypnotic form throughout, embedding with a constant precision in lovably nostalgic post-punk form. Clanging, bass-y synths and effervescent lines converge into a ghostly vocal presence, building into a title-touting refrain that thoroughly immerses. Much of the USA may be approaching a heatwave into this week, but the delectably chilly “Til I Feel No Pain” injects a nocturnal moodiness that stands out definitively, even in the blare of sunshine.

Lovers Guilt represents the solo project of Brian Vega, who is also the vocalist and guitarist of post-punk band Fearing.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
