Nashville-based act Late Night Television balance conformity/authority thematic introspection with a hooky punk/rock/pop blend on new single “Go-Getter!” — a sharply produced success that precedes their sophomore EP, out this fall. Representing that EP’s first single, “Go-Getter!” launches quickly into bursting guitars and contagious vocal spirit.
Bass-heavy progressions and snappy vocal suaveness escalate into a feverishly infectious “I never wanna die,” proclamation. Murky post-punk hints show past the two-minute turn, carrying into a satiating finale that brings back the spirited central hook. “Go-Getter!” has us firmly anticipating the band’s forthcoming EP.
