Another engaging output from Boston-based project Povyy, “Don’t Fall Asleep” ventures from a lush entrancement into a pleading dreaminess — yearning to hold onto the moment. Quaint guitar jangles complement visceral vocal depictions — “you gasp for air, but it’s too late…” — that culminate in the title-touting refrain: “don’t fall asleep.” The track marks another success from Povyy, who first caught our ears in March with the tracks “Brazil Was Built Around Me” and “All Dazed.”
