“Comfortable” is another melodic showing from Chicago-raised, San Diego-based artist Lenny Zen. Impressing last month with the single “Carousel,” the artist continues an aesthetical entrancement here — melding starry-eyed synths, funky bass grooves, and charismatic vocal yearning. The result is infectious and intoxicating, and has us firmly anticipating Lenny Zen’s upcoming EP, Artifact of Attraction, from which “Comfortable” is the second single. The artist describes the single as “a dream-like tune written about the strange comforts found in an unstable relationship.”
