“Monsoon’s Over” is a creative, perky instrumental from Pink Soda. Playful bass-y reverberations and gentle keyboard chimes evolve into a reflective vocal effect, resembling a howler monkey with particularly melodic abilities. A gentler vocal presence, also wordless, joins with cohesive impact as the one-minute turn approaches. Prancing xylophone sounds add a trickling momentum in the second half. Not much is out there about Pink Soda, though the project certainly struts an enjoyable balance here between charisma and atmosphere.
