Monsonic – “Time Stops”

/

Another success from Oklahoma City-based artist Monsonic, “Time Stops” captures a state of “feeling stuck,” alongside an array of intriguing synths — from nocturnal buzzing to effervescent twinkling. “Time doesn’t stop for me,” a sullen vocal presence lets out, lamenting how “the world keeps spinnin,” regardless of one’s personal struggles. The title-touting “now I’m lost again,” declaration is firmly replay-inducing amidst a heady synth-forward aesthetic. This is a strong start to the year for Monsonic, coming off a stellar 2023 following their album In Between.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
