Haunting guitar tones complement themes of empowerment — “I got it all figured out, I promise,” — into a chillingly subtle expanse. “Surrender to something so much bigger than me,” the vocals captivate alongside gentle keys and twangy guitar lushness. The “finally feel free,” catharsis melds with jazzy percussion for a stirring finale. Devon Grace continues to kick off 2024 in especially strong form.
