Astralix — the union of Gary Dranow, Chris Zoupa, and producer Louis Dupont — show an eclectic, sophisticated, and melodically immediate electro-pop sound on new track “Velocity.” The vocals lead the way to the dancefloor; it’s simply impossible to stand still during the whole song, stirring in its array of synth-forward intrigue, vocal mystique, and flourishes of guitar.
After the vocals’ stellar emergence, the instrumental parts and the production excel; astral lyrical references and starry-eyed synths intertwine with powerfully melodic effect into the riveting “dancing through,” hook. With dance, EDM, and contemporary music influences fusing, this track has all the right features to become a popular hit.
