Philadelphia-based band The Silence Kit unveil a snarling rock allure on “Vacancy Chain,” the final track from their recent album It’s Not Too Late. An angsty post-punk allure is evident initially, swelling into an anthemic rock swell during a satiating chorus with a hooky vocal refrain. Clanging bass then traverses into a shout-y vocal fervency, emitting a punk and garage-rock intertwining. Cathartic, call-and-response guitars and dynamic guitars star on this standout from The Silence Kit.
