A lush beauty of a single from Friday Dreaming, “Truth or Dare” weaves caressing vocal tones and dreamy guitar glistening. The artist behind the project, Jericho Yumul, notes that the track is a true story, and is “about a secret love and you coming to the point where you dont care if its a secret anymore.”
Nocturnal synths and a warming bass line exude a sort of Twin Peaks nostalgia initially, basking in a warmer glow as guitars enter and serene vocals ease in alongside the subdued bass and slight synths. “Those were the best days of my life,” the vocals let out yearningly, as acoustic guitars provide a compelling undercurrent into glistening guitars and a title-referencing engrossment. “Truth or Dare” is a lovely success from Friday Dreaming.
