“Rome’s Bounty” is a gripping, concisely impactful single from Toronto-based Dynasty Four, via the project’s upcoming EP, Revisions. Nikkole Couture does it all on the track, from instrumentation to vocals and songwriting, and the result proves thoroughly captivating in its peppy rock and punk intertwining and lyrical pushes “to see the edge before we get over it.”
The upcoming Revisions EP is the follow-up to last year’s Revivals. “Those were songs that got the band back together,” is the description for the aforementioned Revivals, while Revisions “is what happened after they quit.”
“What are you looking at? I know you can hear me,” the charismatic vocals ask alongside wavering guitar enthusiasm, reminding enjoyable of Love Is All. The references to empires in dust and “see the flames of glory,” conjures a sense of battle and rises-and-falls, stirring within the enthusiastic rock-forward pace. “Rome’s Bounty” is a surefire success from Dynasty Four, whose upcoming Revisions EP is certainly one we’re anticipating.
