Comprising creative and romantic partners Sarah Eiseman and Andy DeLuca, the project excels with its atmospheric sound, touching on ’90s shoegaze and alt-rock nostalgia — reminding of a cross between Spiritualized and Mazzy Star.
Its lyrics written about the partners’ love for each other, “Heaven” presents a gripping allure. Eiseman’s vocals maintain a lushly engrossing consistency throughout, dazzling initially with a serene charm alongside a thickly reveberating bass line and chiming guitar frolicking. The ensuing liftoff into more forceful percussion hooks firmly, reminiscent of Wolf Alice.
