“Me and My Dragon” is an engaging new single from Clover Pilot, a solo project based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Spacey synths and piano flourishes drive into a playful lyrical demeanor: “I finally found my dragon, and he gives me good advice, but I have to feed him more than just rats and mice.” The “if you think it’s so easy, I’d like to see you try,” uptick in vocal vibrancy finds warming accompaniment in a more expressive rhythm section, with the overall aesthetic reminding fondly of Benji Hughes. “Me and My Dragon” is a melodic charmer from Clover Pilot.
