MOR – “Where Does It Go? (No, Yeah, I Don’t Know)”

/

Caroline Cederlöf (GRANT) joins the Swedish project MOR with strikingly successful results on new single “Where Does It Go? (No, Yeah, I Don’t Know),” emphasizing her soaring vocal captivation alongside a spacious, atmospheric pop production. The now-trio still comprises acclaimed hip-hop producer Thomas Rusiak and Fredrik Okazaki, who has collaborated with artists like Robyn, Yung Lean, and FKA Twigs. MOR’s new lineup proves riveting, injecting GRANT’s captivating vocal abilities into the supremely melodic mix.

Described as “a song about finding and then losing a love,” “Where Does It Go? (No, Yeah, I Don’t Know)” ventures into the title-touting questioning as spacey synth pulses and gentle guitar textures intertwine. The synths and guitar interplay with hooky immersion throughout. “What should I do with all the photos on my phone?” the vocals ask, with a response of “leave them alone.” An anthem for hopefully moving on with powerful conviction, “Where Does It Go? (No, Yeah, I Don’t Know)” is a stirring pop showcase from MOR.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2023’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
