“Attraction” is another stellar, hooky single from Wild Horse, the Brighton-based trio who have already caught our ears this year with the tracks “Cougar” and “Do You Wanna Talk.” Their fifth single so far this year, “Attraction” continues Wild Horse’s stellar knack for a hooky fusing of rock and pop. Per Wild Horse, the track is “about being insanely attracted to someone, to the point where it is hurting.”
Mellow guitar tones and debonair vocals strut a compelling yearning. “I wanna see you coming my way,” the vocals let out, excelling into a multi-layered lushness rounding the 30-second mark. A bouncy bass line and melodic guitar swipes emerge thereafter, escalating from a quaintly infectious sound to one with an angsty expanse.
Lyrics enamor in portraying how a point of affection can remain stuck in one’s mind. Wild Horse continue showcasing a hooky, radio-ready sound fit for a quick ascent; it’s not a surprise that all their singles thus far this year have been BBC “Tracks of The Day.”
