“Lashes” is a new track from NYC chamber-rock sextet Sea Ray, serving as one of two new recordings released alongside the 20th anniversary re-release of their sophomore album Stars at Noon, out on December 1st via Bodan Kuma Records.
The track enamors in its driving rock sound, adorned by bouncing synths, jangly guitars, and emotive string arrangements. Pulsating synths around 01:10 combine with twangy, understated guitars for a stylish composure amidst the string-laden undercurrents. “You didn’t have to wait so long, I think you knew it along,” kickstarts a particularly magnetic sequence, combining the various elements for a cohesive appeal.
