Spacey synth pulses and a funky bass galloping conjures a Tame Impala likeness, impressing further during the replay-inducing hook. “I don’t need no one,” the spacious vocals emit here, culminating in bouncy synths and a hypnotic percussive impact.
The suave funk-laden verses retain a contagious spirit throughout, and the central hook is consistently delectable in the pitch-ascending vocal touch and playful synth bounces. Balancing psychedelic haunts with hooky immediacy, “No One” is a standout debut from Gab de Soul.
