Dreamy atmospheric intrigue lingers throughout “I Want You” and “Alternate Reality,” two new track from Saasz, an artist living in the UK and originally from Brazil. The tracks come via the new album Nostalgic Escapism, which the artist describes as aiming “to a past that as much as it can be nostalgic, you also want to escape.”
“Alternate Reality” marks the album’s mid-point, signifying an “escape” and exploration into topics of “finding hope, trust, self love and self discovery.” Its lush keys and chilling vocal emergence captivate from the get-go; the chiming keys and enveloping vocals combine for a magnetic, hypnotic appeal. Closing the album, the lovely “I Want You” expands from quaint guitar reflections into a gorgeous chorus, featuring spaciously yearning vocals.
