Victoria-based project Pastel Blank impress with the new single “Dopamine,” showcasing frontman Angus Watt’s melodic art-rock songwriting. The track marks the second single from their forthcoming debut album.
The “dopamine runs dry,” expanse into funk-laden brass plays with feverish, stylish engrossment — reminding enjoyably of Talking Heads with the sporadic vocal quivers and “up all night,” ethos.
