Following Leatherman’s 2020 self-titled debut, Ensuring My Uncertainty succeeds in its reflective, hazy rock sound throughout.
“Overlap” is a captivating opener, depicting a “rushing stream of broken dreams,” with heartfelt appeal into the bursting guitars at the 50-second mark. Here, the multi-layered vocal passion and twangier guitar disposition combine for an invigorating expanse. “Panoply” is another standout, touting a more mellow mystique via its patient guitar unfolding and haunting vocal ardency. The audible representation of “colors in my mind,” engrosses in the debonair guitar stylings and radiant backing organ.
