Showing a serenely melodic sound reminiscent of Wild Nothing, “Charmed” is the latest single from Sundozer, the Austin-based project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Christian Luis French. Released as a two-track single alongside “100 Lives,” “Charmed” provides moody immersion from the get-go; gorgeous synth trickling, jangly guitars, and suave bass concoct a dreamy appeal fit for nighttime walks.
“We’re not getting any younger,” the vocals admit prior to the gorgeous chorus, exuding trying aspirations amidst lush guitar spurts and glistening background keys. The calming verses follow with a seamless cohesion. A gently absorbing bridge, with a shimmering backing synth and gentle bass pushes, carries into a blissful conclusion. Sundozer thoroughly impresses with “Charmed.”
