Belfast-based artist Patryk Kania crafts a dark-pop engrossment on the new track “Boating,” whose haunting, dreamy composure elevates with its melodic and emotional core. A whispered vocal tenderness and throbbing percussion complement a hazy synth pad, concocting a contemplatively nocturnal atmospheric pull. “I can get you out,” the vocals tempt into the synth-laden hook, sending chills with its dreamy vocal soaring.
The track allures in its heartrending appeal to escape a dead-end town, as one looks to a brighter future in a new locale. “Boating” thoroughly compels in its savvy alternation between subdued verses, reflecting a sense of yearning, and an ensuing chorus with bolstering synths aiding thematic temptations to start anew.
“Boating” was written by Kania, and produced by his long-time collaborator, the Florida-based Kevin Buster. The track represents the third single from Kania’s upcoming second EP, Gin Mill Club. Its title track was featured last month.
