“Thresher” is a menacing instrumental rock success from Movie Club, a duo based in Venice Beach comprising drummer Jessamyn Violet and guitarist Vince Cuneo. Bassist Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie) and saxophonist David Ralicke (Ozomatli) add their talents on this track.

This re-occurs past the first minute, subsequently bolstered by a multi-layered tonal resonance that ups the vigor. Check out Movie Club live throughout August at their Monday night residency at Hollywood venue Harvard & Stone. They will be featuring a “variety show” type of performance — including “notable instrumentalists, burlesque dancers, drag performers, MCs and more.”
