Ontario-based artist Jacob Barber presents a nostalgic, psychedelic journey on “We’re One With The Stars,” the title track from his upcoming album. Per Barber, the effort takes inspiration from “the apparent inner-connectivity of all things: the inner and outer oneness of the planet, people, across time and space.”
A ’60s-inspired psychedelic character is apparent, particularly as the playful organs infuse alongside the debonair bass line and hazy guitar pulses. Barber’s dazed vocals follow delectably, into a twangy guitar envelopment and a soaring “stars in the sky,” contemplation. Boasting ample melodic and stylistic charm, “We’re One With The Stars” has us firmly anticipating the upcoming album.
