“Lonesome Breath” marks just the band’s second single, and their stylistic appeal is already prevalent. “Patiently waiting,” the vocals start during a particularly catching sequence, where serene vocals and pedal steel meandering combine with beautifully melodic endurance. Playful, wordless vocal enamoring drives into the satisfying finale. The “bring me back,” vocal refrain proves apt, further capturing the track’s simultaneous nostalgia and heartful yearning.
