A melodic meshing of soul and hip-hop, “Remember Love” is a compelling collaboration from Butterfly Haus and Rosarii, released via Brooklyn-based label Glass Bullet Sound Company.
Themes of “healing and desire” center around the “wake up smell the roses,” refrain, grounding listeners with a back-to-earth realization. Rosarii’s intoxicating vocals follow with immersion, noting a process of grieving and asking “do I live in fear?” alongside a yearning for space and time, amidst mellow keys and steady percussion.
The duo met in the fall of 2021, and have worked together on a number of singles since. Rosarii also added backing vocals to Butterfly Haus’ “Hold It Against Me,” released in June 2022. “Remember Love” marks their latest success in a string of them.
