“Better Life” is a riveting rock single from Milwaukee-based band The Pulltops, from their new EP, Between The Lines. Per the band, “Better Life” captures “the frustrations of trying to find your place in life and the things that make you happy when you are surrounded by all of the trappings of modern life.”
“Better Life” builds with an eclectic charm, from electro-touched dark city streets to an upfront rock passion. The track initially explores an understated, nocturnal soundscape. Industrial synth pulses complement vocals that “step out of the shadows, slip away from the city streets,” in their solemn delivery. Icy synth accompaniments during the “I keep drifting,” bridge consumes with its dreamy immersion. The ensuing section invigorates with a raucous, impassioned vocal performance that yearns for a “better life.”
“Better Life” is another memorable showing from The Pulltops, previously impressing with tracks “Destination” and “Poison the Well.”
