The exciting title track from The Beach Bats‘ upcoming full-length, out in August, “Limbo” is a hooky rocker spanning both solemn builds and frenzied passion. The standout chorus enamors with interplaying dynamic guitar tones, ranging from twangy introspection to raucous reverberations.
The Canadian act mesh mystique-filled verses and a commanding ferocity within the escalated points. “Listen to the waves as they lap against your dreams,” the vocals let out in the verses, showing shades of Franz Ferdinand. The sweltering guitars in the ensuing sections build into dreamy wordless vocals past the three-minute turn, culminating in a guitar-fronted finale with impassioned vigor.
