Spacey twangs and a departing sense of melancholy engross on “Spinning Universe,” the new track from Joy Canopy, the project of Victoria, BC-based artist David Eppich.
“Spinning Universe to me is about how we have a lot of things out of our control,” Eppich says. “The universe is so big and powerful, and thats kinda the inspiration for the lyrics.”
Lyrics reflect poignantly on a world unraveling quickly, set alongside calming guitars and steady percussion. The more expressive “meant to be,” escalation features pulsing rhythms and serene vocal engagement, gripping with an atmospheric pop charm. “Spinning Universe” is a yearning, spacey pop success from Joy Canopy.
